The allure of a coastal lifestyle is a dream for many, and for Vicki and Jeff, it became a reality. Their story is a testament to the power of a breathtaking view and the joy of creating a home that embodies their ideal lifestyle.
A Dream Realized
Vicki and Jeff's journey began with a simple desire: to live on the Esplanade and enjoy the expansive views of the ocean. Their previous home in Somerton Park offered a coastal life, but when the opportunity arose to own a property in one of Adelaide's most sought-after coastal areas, they seized it.
The Transformation
Over the past twelve years, Vicki and Jeff have meticulously renovated their home, transforming it into an entertainer's paradise. The heart of their home, the kitchen, was the first to undergo a makeover. Vicki's vision was to create an open-plan space that connected the kitchen to the living area and, most importantly, to the breathtaking views beyond.
"As soon as we walked in, I knew we had to open up the kitchen. We entertain a lot, both indoors and out, so having a spacious kitchen with a large bench was essential," Vicki explains.
The outdoor area also underwent a complete transformation. Vicki and Jeff removed an old shed, retiled the pool, and created a seamless alfresco space that flows from the kitchen and living room. Polished concrete floors added a coastal touch, and the newly renovated bathrooms completed the home's transformation.
The Ultimate View
But it's the view that truly captivates. Vicki describes it as a lifestyle that one can only appreciate by experiencing it. The ability to witness dolphins swimming by, watch boats pass, and enjoy stunning sunsets, both in winter and summer, is a blessing they cherish.
"The views are a landslide favorite for me. It's a privilege to wake up to such beauty every day," Vicki shares.
A New Chapter
As Vicki and Jeff embark on a new phase of their lives, downsizing while staying true to their coastal roots, they carry with them the memories and experiences of their time in Seacliff. Their home, with its unique features and incredible views, has become a testament to their love for coastal living and the joy of creating a space that reflects their passions and lifestyle.
In my opinion, their story is a reminder that sometimes, it's the view that becomes the heart of a home, and the experiences and memories created within it that truly make it special.
